Keep it Fresh, Man

Our boy Martini (of DIPT fame) has opened up FRESHMAN a new, men’s-only shop a couple of doors down from the DIPT location. The build-in is hype: cherrywood (I think), a little lounge area complete with a couple of copies of Playboy, GQ, all that dude shit. Nice collegiate vibe to the store and tight boutique brands that aren’t being blown out all over the city. Martini and his team know their shit. FRESHMAN’s opening party is this Friday at the store and Pop Opera is hosting the afterparty in the VIP room. Really looking forward to this one. Mad Decent afterparty//Halloween

The Mad Decent show at Richards saw Diplo djing from the dance floor and hoards young wanna-b-seen-ers dancing on the stage. That was about the coolest part of the show. The hype behind Diplo needs to be focused on his studio work. Going to see someone as big as him I expected to hear something new. Instead he played it safe and it was obvious the best thing in that room were the drugs. Back on the Republic patio Paul Devro did a good job warming up the room and the star struck fans of Diplo kept the dance floor full even after the lights came on.

If you passed through gastown at all on Halloween you would have seen the masses funneling down water street. The line-ups were as ridiculous as the costumes. Lamplighter was no exception.
